ABOUT ME
Education & Training
Dr. Chiha graduated with Honours from the University of Sydney Faculty of Medicine in 2003. He completed his internal medicine training and advanced cardiology fellowship at Westmead Hospital, one of Australia's premier cardiovascular training centers. In 2009, he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
Research & Academic Excellence
Recognizing Dr. Chiha's research potential, he was awarded the prestigious RACP and NHMRC Postgraduate Research Scholarship. His doctoral studies culminated in a PhD in 2017, focusing on his primary research interest: cardiovascular disease in women. His groundbreaking thesis examined gender-based differences in the extent and severity of coronary artery disease, as well as optimal diagnostic approaches for male and female patients.
Training & Credentials
Dr. Chiha completed an intensive two-year interventional cardiology fellowship at the prestigious Peter Munk Cardiac Centre in Toronto, Canada. This internationally recognised program, affiliated with Toronto General Hospital and the University of Toronto, is renowned as a global leader in the diagnosis and treatment of advanced coronary artery disease. Dr Chiha returned to Sydney with cutting-edge expertise and a commitment to bringing world-class cardiovascular care to his patients.
